What “verified” means on Admission.ly — and what it does not

Every institution profile on Admission.ly carries one of two states: verified, or listed.

Verified means we have confirmed three things: that the organisation exists as it claims to, that the person maintaining the profile is authorised to act for it, and that the programme information on the page was reviewed against a source we could check.

Verified does not mean the institution is accredited by any government or agency, that it ranks highly anywhere, that its qualification will be recognised in your country, or that you will be admitted. Those are separate questions and you should ask them separately — of the institution, and of the recognition body in the country where you intend to work.

Sponsored placement is a different thing again. When a listing appears because someone paid for the position, it carries a visible "Sponsored" label. Paying for placement never changes a verification state, and it never moves a result up an unlabelled list.
