Accessibility

Our approach

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means semantic HTML, a visible focus indicator on everything interactive, colour contrast checked in both light and dark themes, forms that work without JavaScript, and respect for prefers-reduced-motion.

• Search and filtering are plain forms — they work with keyboard alone and without scripts.
• Every page has one h1 and a sensible heading order.
• A skip link is the first focusable element on every page.
• Colour is never the only carrier of meaning; status is always labelled in words.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than claim full conformance we have not audited:

• The catalogue has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
• Some data tables scroll horizontally on narrow screens.
• Documents uploaded by institutions and students are outside our control and may not be accessible.
